Welcome to Supramorphous,

where fashion transcends the ordinary and embraces genderless sustainability.

About Supramorphous

Founded in Toronto by two Mexican designers Ana Carpio and Luis Padilla, Supramorphous is a bold studio that blends sustainability with innovative design. Offering genderless fashion and accessories, the brand breaks conventions, encouraging self-expression and authenticity through timeless, unique pieces.

Born from a shared passion for responsible design, Supramorphous uses natural fibers and upcycled materials to craft sustainable, made-to-order garments. The duo releases limited-edition artisanal capsule collections and a yearly full collection that embodies beauty, nature, and the connection between humanity and the environment.

With no boundaries in creativity, Supramorphous has showcased at Toronto, Vancouver, and international fashion events and collaborated with artists in ballet and contemporary dance.

At its core, Supramorphous believes in giving more than taking. Wear your values. Be authentic. Be you. Be Supra.

Our Mission

We’re all about creating clothes that truly matter—pieces that make you feel good knowing exactly who made them, where they came from, and how to make them last. We’re throwing out the fast fashion rulebook and embracing slow fashion with custom-made, genderless designs for all bodies. We believe in paying fair wages and building a community that champions local businesses. Together, we’re breaking the cycle by rescuing discarded treasures and turning deadstock materials and upcycled Mexican leather into fresh, one-of-a-kind designs. Our mission? To keep fashion fun, fair, and fiercely sustainable!

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a future where fashion is inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven. We aim to introduce a gender-inclusive bridal collection, open our own atelier to empower people with opportunities for growth, and expand our circular economy approach by recovering our own products after use. We envision a space where sustainability is celebrated, where workshops educate, gatherings inspire, and young designers flourish. As we grow, we strive to be a resource for others, sharing our expertise and helping to shape a fashion industry that thrives on transparency, fairness, and innovation.

Meet the Designers

Luis Padilla and Ana Carpio

Supramorphous began with two curious minds, a shared dream, and a leap of faith.

Luis and Ana met in 2007 at a French school in León, Guanajuato. Their shared curiosity turned into a deep friendship, and by 2009, they were off to Canada to chase their creative dreams.

Frustrated with fast fashion and craving something deeper, they started imagining a different kind of brand, one rooted in sustainability, individuality, and timeless design. Over countless dinners and conversations, Supramorphous was born: a label that challenges norms and tells real stories through every piece.

Luis

👞 From shoemaking to slow fashion

Luis grew up surrounded by leather scraps and creativity, helping his grandfather craft shoes in Mercado de la Luz. After years in the footwear industry (and even knocking on factory doors asking for work), he made a bold career switch from international commerce to fashion design.

Curious and hands-on, Luis has always loved reworking clothes by hand, questioning trends, and crafting garments that stand the test of time. He holds a master’s in Creative Direction and helps elevate Supramorphous with a sharp vision and storytelling that makes the brand stand out.

Ana

✂️ Design with heart (and a little rebellion)

Ana’s design journey started at her grandmother’s sewing machine and blossomed into a lifelong passion for creativity and sustainability. Raised in a loud, loving family, she was always sketching, questioning norms, and dreaming up a more playful, thoughtful world.

Today, she’s the Sustainability Director at Supramorphous and currently pursuing a Master’s in Circular Economy. Because creating beautiful things should never come at the planet’s expense. With her values stitched into every detail, Ana is shaping a future where design does better.
